AQUAPOD+ — Blue technology for cleaner seas

The goal of AQUAPOD+ was an innovative technical solution for removing marine litter from enclosed basins and waterfronts — marinas, ports and working harbours.

AQUAPOD+ collects floating waste and pollutants, contributing to cleaner coasts and better environmental management of nautical infrastructure.

• Two AQUAPOD+ prototype versions developed, tested and validated
• ICT platform for monitoring and control
• Readiness levels TRL 8 and MRL 9
• Lower carbon footprint in production and operation

ECOcube — Ecological island for vessel waste

Development and market introduction of the innovative blue product ECOcube — an ecological island receiving solid waste and wastewater from vessels in marinas, ports and coastal areas.

Results

• Prototype completed, tested and validated in an operational environment
• Pre-production prototype with innovative bio-materials
• Low-carbon materials and renewable energy, integrated solar cells
• Sorting of plastic, glass, paper and metal for recycling
• About 3.6 tonnes of collected material recycled per year
